| USGBC is currently working on a formalized international strategy for LEED. This “international platform” strategy is intended to introduce an appropriate level of adaptation and flexibility into the LEED rating systems for International projects. The LEED rating systems currently under consideration for this work are: LEED 2009 for New Construction and Major Renovations, LEED 2009 for Schools, LEED 2009 for Core & Shell, and LEED 2009 for Existing Buildings: Operations & Maintenance. En3 was identified as key contributor by USGBC and was the only member from South Asia on the technical working group. En3 has actively participated in techical discussions and has helped creating new alternative compliance paths for credits and prerequisites that currently present significant challenges for all international projects. The LEED International program is slated for launch very soon. |
