En3s project becomes 1st LEED Platinum Commercial Interiors in the world outside U.S.A.
The ABN Amro Bank branch in Ahmedabad has become the 1st LEED commercial interiors project outside the U.S. to achieve LEED Platinum certification and only the 8th in the world. En3 along with architect Karan Grover and Associates have made this 8000 square feet branch into one of the greenest interiors possible. The branch has energy efficient lighting systems that save 34% over conventional systems and HVAC systems that consume 20% less than standard systems. Low flow fixtures that consume 38% less than regular fixtures have been used as well. Also more than 40% of the materials used have high recycled content, only certified wood products have been used and over 50% of the materials used are locally and regionally procured thereby reducing the impact of environmental pollution through transportation. Also more than 75% of the interiors have natural day lighting thereby considerably reducing the artificial light consumption. |
